The study on soil respiration and CO2 release rate of litter decomposition in Puccinellia tenuiflora community of Songnen grassland in northeast China

The study on soil respiration and CO2 release rate of litter decomposition in Puccinellia tenuiflora community of Songnen grassland in northeast China

Acta Prataculturae Sinica 11(2): 45-50

The seasonal dynamics of soil respiration and CO2 release rate during litter decomposition were analysed in a Puccinellia tenuiflora community. The seasonal dynamics of soil respiration showed a single-peak curve with a maximum of 11.4 g C m-2 d-1 in mid August. Seasonal changes in soil respiration were roughly synchronized with aboveground green biomass. Soil respiration was positively correlated with soil water content at 0-10 cm depth.
