Use of grapefruit extract in the control of Phytophthora cinnamomi on yew, Lawson cypress and heather

Use of grapefruit extract in the control of Phytophthora cinnamomi on yew, Lawson cypress and heather

Sylwan 146(3): 91-97

ISSN/ISBN: 0039-7660

The biological activity of grapefruit extract in the inhibition of growth and development of Phytophthora cinnamomi and the control of Phytophthora root and stem rot of yew, Lawson cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana), and heather were evaluated. Amendment of potato agar dextrose and soil leachate with grapefruit extract at 8 micro g/cm3 concentration resulted in the inhibition of mycelium growth and formation of zoosporangia.
