The effects of M. signata infestation on the yield of black gram T-9 were investigated in Jorhat, Assam, India during 1999. Treatments were categorized as no exposure (NE); spraying of 0.07% endosulfan during the appearance of M. signata and 3 times at fortnightly intervals; spraying with endosulfan after 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 week(s) of M. signata infestation followed by 3 more sprayings (1-7 WE); and full exposure (FE; no spraying).
