Yielding, floristic changes and the nutritive value of four phenologically different meadow mixtures on peat-muck soil

Yielding, floristic changes and the nutritive value of four phenologically different meadow mixtures on peat-muck soil

Wiadomosci Instytutu Melioracji i Uzytkow Zielonych 20(4): 23-37

Crop yield, nutritive value and the persistence of components of four phenologically different meadow mixtures (early, moderately early, moderately late and late) on peat-moorsh soil were studied during 1989-94. Selecting species and their varieties allowed to harvest the I cut in two weeks providing a valuable and efficient fodder. The earliness of a mixture did not affect the annual yield and total protein yield.
