This paper presents a list of the collected and identified orchid species from the forest and adjoining hills of Goalpara District in Assam, India. It was observed that although majority of orchid species are commonly distributed in India and neighbouring countries, approximately 85 species are confined only to the Northeastern India, out of that 11 species are common and 14 species are rare in Goalpara district. From the 25 orchids, 3 species are terrestrial and 22 species are epiphytes.
