Analyses on the genes for resistance to powdery mildew originating from wild emmer in wheat new lines/varieties

Analyses on the genes for resistance to powdery mildew originating from wild emmer in wheat new lines/varieties

Journal of Jilin Agricultural University 26(4): 378-380, 385

A study was conducted using the susceptible cultivar Liaochun10 and 4 resistant new lines/cultivars of wheat for establishing one set of 5x5 semi-diallel cross combinations. The seedlings of the parents, F1, F2 and BF1 from the cross combinations were inoculated with race no. 15 of Blumeria graminis f.sp. tritici (Erysiphe graminis f.sp. tritici). Four new lines (SM96, SM20135, OB21 and OB151) contained one independent dominant gene each for resistance to powdery mildew.
