The effect of broadcasting N at different levels in a no-tillage cultivation system of sunflower on grain yield and yield components was investigated in Parana, Brazil in a red-yellow argissol. N was broadcast as urea at 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 and 125 kg/ha when the crops were in the V8 stage. The following parameters were evaluated: grain yield, apparent harvest index, 1000-achene weight, achene number/capitulum and achene oil content.
