Colonization and establishment of Azospirillum in dry seeded rice under different soil moisture levels

Colonization and establishment of Azospirillum in dry seeded rice under different soil moisture levels

Annals of Agricultural Research 24(4): 846-848

A study was conducted to determine the effect of different soil moisture regimes (-0.05, -0.1, -0.5 and -1.20 Mpa) on the colonization and survival of Azospirillum species (strains Sp7 and Sp cd) in the rhizosphere of dry sown rice crop. Results showed that both species had maximum population under the -0.1 Mpa moisture regime observed 45 DAS.
