Competition between Festulolium and white clover in short-term pasture ecosystems

Competition between Festulolium and white clover in short-term pasture ecosystems

Zemdirbyste, Mokslo Darbai 89: 114-124

Studies were conducted in a Cambisol during 1998-2003 in Dotnuva, Lithuania to determine the seed ratio of the intergenic hybrids of Festulolium (Punia and Suduviai) in a resown pasture and to compare these mixtures with the mixtures composed of perennial ryegrass and meadow fescue with white clover. Results showed that the nitrogen-unamended mixture of Festulolium Punia/white clover gave a high stable yield of 6.22-6.38 tonnes/ha dry matter.
