The German horticultural industry is currently facing increasing pressure from European competitors as a result of EU expansion and realization of the European internal market. This study examined the competitiveness of the German horticultural industry in comparison to that of major European producers of horticultural crops (France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Italy and Hungary).
