Competitiveness of soybean crop in Brazil and in the world

This paper discusses several aspects of the competitive advantages of the Brazilian soyabean sector, especially those concerning the availability of technology and farm land, and the large amount of soyabean products for export. Based on these advantages and assuming that there is no decrease in demand in the future, this paper concludes that Brazilian soyabean production should exceed that of the USA (the present largest world producer) by 2010.
