Composition of the essential oil of Achillea sieheana Stapf and the enantiomeric distribution of camphor



Journal of essential oil research: JEOR e 16(3): 180-181



A water distilled oil from the aerial parts of Achillea sieheana Stapf (Compositae), an endemic species in Turkey, was analyzed by GC/MS. Enantiomerically pure (1S)(-)-camphor (39.9%) was identified as a main constituent in the oil using a multidimensional GC/MS system.
