Determination of the size and the floristic composition of the soil seed bank (SSB) is an essential tool for vegetation dynamic studies. The objective of this study is to determine the composition and the size of SSB in different relief positions and its correspondence with 149 species of the above-ground flora from excluded grassland areas at Eldorado do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
