Comprehensive evaluation of new varieties of insect-resistant hybrid cotton by grey association degree

Acta Agriculturae Shanghai 21(1): 12-14

The 13 main characters of 6 new cultivars of insect-resistant hybrid cotton were evaluated comprehensively and analysed quantitatively during 2003 by grey association degree. The results showed that Xiangzamian 3 and RH-7 had higher weighted association degree than the other cultivars, and their lint yields increased by above 15% over that of the control, and also, they had good bollworm resistance, fibre quality and agronomic characters.
