An experiment was conducted during 1998-99 in a field (Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India) heavily-infested with root-lesion nematode (Pratylenchus coffeae) on banana commercial cultivars Karpuravalli (ABB), Monthan (ABB) and Nendran (AAB) using monocrotophos and carbofuran in different doses at different periods of application along with the recommended practice of paring and pralinage of the suckers.
