The rosy apple aphid, D. plantaginea, is one of the main apple pests in Switzerland and in many other countries in Europe. The common strategy to control aphids of the genus Dysaphis is an application of a specific aphicide just before flowering, very often followed by a second application after flowering or in early summer.
