Cryopreservation of microspores of carob (Ceratonia siliqua L.)

Cryopreservation of microspores of carob (Ceratonia siliqua L.)

Revista de Biologia Lisboa 22(1/4): 7-19

In this work, the effect of cryopreservation on carob (Ceratonia siliqua) microspore viability was evaluated after 5 months of storage. Anthers isolated from male and hermaphrodite flowers of carob tree at developmental phases I and II were cryopreserved by vitrification.
