The effects of methanolic crude extracts of some medicinal plants (Dorema ammoniacum, Illicium verum and Bunium persicum) which are used in Iranian traditional medicine on the RS322N strain of S. cerevisiae were investigated using agar diffusion method. The IC12 value for the 12 mm inhibition of RS322N of D. ammoniacum (oleogum resin), B. persicum (fruit) and I. verum (fruit) were 3.14, 5.58 and 5.27 mg/ml respectively.
