Detection of nucleopolyhedrovirus of mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori by PCR technique

Detection of nucleopolyhedrovirus of mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori by PCR technique

Proceedings of the 42nd Kasetsart University Annual Conference, Kasetsart, Thailand, 3-6 February 2004: 174-182

Sericulture is an important industry of Thailand. Major problem of sericulture is diseases of silkworm, Bombyx mori. The most destructive disease is grasserie caused by nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV). Lack of quick and accurate disease detection technique causes severe spread of grasserie disease annually. This study aims to develop PCR-based method for BmNPV detection in silkworm.
