Determination of dl- alpha -tocopherol acetate and dl- alpha -tocopherol in foods by HPLC using post-column photochemical reaction

Determination of dl- alpha -tocopherol acetate and dl- alpha -tocopherol in foods by HPLC using post-column photochemical reaction

Shokuhin Eiseigaku Zasshi = Journal of the Food Hygienics Society of Japan 45(6): 289-294

A reliable analytical method for the simultaneous determination of dl- alpha -tocopherol acetate and dl- alpha -tocopherol in foods was established: HPLC using post-column photochemical reaction with ultraviolet (UV) and fluorescence detection. For low-fat foods such as fruit juices and vegetable sauces, tocopherols were extracted using methanol containing 0.1% ascorbic acid.
