Determination of field capacity and permanent wilting point with pedotransfer functions related to soil physical and chemical properties

Determination of field capacity and permanent wilting point with pedotransfer functions related to soil physical and chemical properties

Ondokuz Mays Universitesi, Ziraat Fakultesi Dergisi 19(3): 19-23

In this study, field capacity and permanent wilting point of soils under continuous farming were estimated with pedotransfer functions. These functions define multiple regressions among some soil physical and chemical properties. Field capacity (FC) and permanent wilting point (PWP) values of soils gave statistically significant relations with clay, sand, total porosity, organic matter and electrical conductivity (P<0.01).
