EU eastward enlargement and WTO liberalisation from the point of view of the Ukrainan agricultural industry. Efficiency analysis and evaluation using a partial equilibrium model

EU Osterweiterung und WTO Liberalisierung aus Sicht der ukrainischen Agrarwirtschaft Wirkungsanalyse und Bewertung mit Hilfe eines partiellen Gleichgewichtsmodells: 201 pp.

An account is given of the agricultural policies, production and development of markets for cereals, rape, sugar, milk and milk products, beef, pigmeat and poultry in Ukraine since the break-up of the Soviet Union. Between 1990 and 1999 agricultural wealth creation decreased by 55%, but in 2001, 11.2% of agricultural products (mainly crops and milk products) were exported and 7.1% (mainly manufatured food products) were imported.
