Effect of PGF2 alpha and progesterone administration on milk production in buffaloes

Effect of PGF2 alpha and progesterone administration on milk production in buffaloes

Indian Veterinary Journal 82(5): 557-558

The present investigation was undertaken to study the effect of PGF2 alpha and progesterone on the milk production of lactating postpartum anoestrus buffaloes during the summer season. Twelve buffaloes with postpartum anoestrus period of more than 6 months were administered with lutalyse (PGF2 alpha , 25 mg IM) at day 15 with or without 1 ml Duraprogen IM (progesterone, 250 mg) five days after lutalyse injection.
