Effect of Roundup ReadyReg. wheat on greenbug, Russian wheat aphid, (Homoptera: Aphididae) and wheat curl mite, (Acari: Eriophyidae)

A laboratory experiment was conducted to compare the transgenic Roundup Ready 'Bobwhite' wheat with nontransgenic 'Bobwhite' wheat for their responses to and effects on greenbug (Schizaphis graminum), Russian wheat aphid (Diuraphis noxia) and wheat curl mite (Aceria tosichella). Two days after infestation, the population increases of greenbug and Russian wheat aphid did not differ significantly on Roundup Ready wheat and nontransgenic 'Bobwhite' wheat.
