A study was conducted in Mohanpur, West Bengal, India during the summer season of 2002 and 2003 to determine the effects of different levels of irrigation and cobalt on the growth and nodulation of groundnut TAG-24. Treatments comprised: 4 levels of irrigation (rainfed, irrigation at 0.3, 0.5 or 0.8 atmospheric tension) and 3 cobalt rates (no cobalt, seed treatment with 1 ppm cobalt sulfate solution and soil application of cobalt sulfate at 25 mg/m2).
