A field experiment was conducted during 2000-01 to 2001-02 to study the effect of green manures (GM) from Sesbania rostrata and Vigna radiata and biofertilizers (blue green algae and Azotobacter) with graded level of inorganic nitrogen (i.e. 0, 30, 90, and 120 kg/ha) on sustainability of soil as well as productivity of crops in rice-wheat cropping system at agriculture farm of Regional Institute of Rural Development (RIRD), Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
