The residual effects of organic amendments (farmyard manure, Sesbania aculeata green manure, press mud and vermicompost), N fertilizer (60, 120 or 160 kg/ha), 90 kg N/ha + Azotobacter and 100% NPK on soil test basis on nutrient content and uptake in wheat under kharif cereal fodder-wheat system were studied in Hisar, Haryana, India, during 1994/95 and 1995/96. The organic manures were applied approximately 4 weeks before sowing.
