Effect of zinc on germination and yield parameters in blackgram (Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper. Var. Co-3)

The effect of Zn at 0, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200 and 500 mg/litre on the growth (germination, shoot length, root length, branch number and leaf number) and yield parameters (pod number, fresh weight, dry weight, 1000-seed weight and crop yield) of black gram Co.3 was investigated in Tamil Nadu, India. Germination percentage decreased with increasing Zn rate starting from 25 mg/litre.
