The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of feeding type of concentrates during the growing period and of the slaughter age on the growth performance, feed efficiency and carcass characteristics of growing-fattening Holstein steers. Treatments were 2 concentrate feeding types (ad libitum or restricted 1.9% of BW) and 3 slaughter ages (19, 22 or 25 months).
