A study was conducted in Jeju Region, Korea Republic, to investigate the effects of sowing date on the growth, yield and chemical composition of Jeju native sorghum (Sorghum bicolor). Sowings were conducted during 10-day intervals from 27 March to 27 May 2000. The highest plant height (222.9 cm) was recorded on 7 April sowing date, while those of early and late sowings gradually decreased. The values of stem diameter and number of leaves were similar to those of plant height.
