Effects of supplemental feeding on brood production and honey yield of honey bee (Apis mellifera L.) colonies in the Aegean Region

The effects of supplemental feeding of honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) colonies in the Aegean region with different diets on brood production and honey yield were investigated. Twenty-five honey bee colonies that were established by sister queens were randomly allocated into 5 groups. The control group was fed with sugar syrup, while the diets containing pollen supplements with different vitamins were applied to the 4 other experimental groups.
