Efficacy of biorational insecticides against tobacco caterpillar, Spodoptera litura infesting soybean crops

A field study was conducted in Pantnagar, Uttaranchal, India, during the 2001 and 2002 kharif seasons, to determine the efficacy of different rates of insect growth regulators (IGRs) to manage the tobacco caterpillar, Spodoptera litura, infesting soyabeans, compared to 800 ml monocrotophos/ha. The treatments comprised: 200; 300; 400; and 600 g diflubenzuron/ha and 200; 400; 600; and 800 ml lufenuron/ha.
