Efficacy of ivermectin against gastroinstestinal nematodes in calves

Efficacy of ivermectin against gastroinstestinal nematodes in calves

Journal of Animal and Veterinary Advances 4(2): 163-166

30 calves (6-9 months of age) with body weight of 60-120 kg (of both sexes) in the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, infected naturally with various gastrointestinal nematodes were studied to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of ivermectin. The drug was administered at day 0 and 30. Twenty cattle were given treatment and 10 were the control animals. The parameters studied were on the basis of faecal egg reduction.
