The leaf extracts of three ornamental plants, Myoporum pictum, Pittosporum tobira and Thevetia peruviana, used as seed protectants, were tested for their efficiency in controlling two stored product insects, the rice weevil, Sitophilus oryzae (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), and the pulse beetle, Callosobruchus maculatus (Coleoptera: Bruchidae).
