Efficient procedures for callus induction and adventitious shoot organogenesis in sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris L.) breeding lines

Efficient procedures for callus induction and adventitious shoot organogenesis in sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris L.) breeding lines

In Vitro Cellular and Developmental Biology Plant 40(5): 475-481

Several commercially important sugarbeet breeding lines (SDM 3, SDM 5, SDM 8, SDM 9, SDM 10, SDM 11, HB 526, and CMS 22003) and cultivars (Roberta and Gala) were evaluated for their regeneration capacity through adventitious shoot organogenesis from cotyledons, hypocotyls, root/hypocotyl/shoot transition zone tissues, and leaf lamina and petiole via an intervening callus phase.
