Evaluation of sugarcane genotypes for yield and quality parameters under Suru planting

Twenty sugarcane cultivars were evaluated for their yield and quality in a field experiment conducted in Maharashtra, India during 2002-03. CoM 9903 recorded the highest mean millable height (287 cm) and cane yield (105.56 t/ha), whereas Co 94012 recorded the highest mean commercial cane sugar (15.11 t/ha), brix (22.77), sucrose content (20.70%) and commercial cane sugar percentage (14.82%).
