Exudation and browning in tissue culture of pomegranate

Exudation and browning in tissue culture of pomegranate

Agricultural Science Digest 23(1): 29-31

The browning of cultures is a major obstacle in the establishment of explants in perennial fruit crops, which subsequently makes the in vitro techniques more complicated. Pomegranate has the same problem in the establishment of in vitro cultures due to its high phenolic content.
