Feed restriction in broiler chickens for the prevention of ascites syndrome and its effect on net income

Feed restriction in broiler chickens for the prevention of ascites syndrome and its effect on net income

Agrociencia Montecillo 38(1): 33-41

Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the effect of two feed restriction (FR) programs on mortality from ascites syndrome (MAS) and on net income, Body weight gain (WG), feed intake (FI), feeding efficiency (FE), total mortality and MAS were determined. In addition, in Experiment 2, carcass yield and abdominal fat (%) were assessed. The experimental design was completely randomized with repeated measurements of seven or eight periods (weeks) in both experiments.
