Genetic analysis of cold water response on several agronomic traits of rice

Chinese Journal of Rice Science 18(1): 23-28

Differences in cold water response for several agronomic traits of rice were analysed using 45 F1s obtained from half-diallel crosses among 10 cultivars. Both general (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) effects were highly significant for days to heading, culm length, panicle length, spikelets per panicle, seed setting rate and panicle exsertion. GCA variance was larger than the SCA variance for all traits.
