Genetic variability and correlation studies in foxtail millet (Setaria italica)

Genetic variability and correlation studies in foxtail millet (Setaria italica)

Crop Research Hisar 28(1/3): 94-97

An experiment was conducted in Andhra Pradesh, India, during the 1998 kharif season on 15 foxtail millet genotypes to determine genetic variability, heritability and character associations for yield and yield components (days to 50% flowering, plant height, productive tillers per plant and days to maturity). Plant height had the highest mean phenotypic range (132.6), genetic variability (233.74) and phenotypic variability (277.68).
