Gibberellic acid and kinetin as antidotes against dual herbicide injury on carbohydrate metabolism of Zea mays plants

Gibberellic acid and kinetin as antidotes against dual herbicide injury on carbohydrate metabolism of Zea mays plants

Egyptian Journal of Physiological Sciences 25(1): 65-78

An experiment was conducted on maize to determine the efficacy of GA3 (10, 50 and 250 mg/litre) and kinetin (1, 10 and 50 mg/litre) against Dual (metolachlor) injury. Dual-treated maize showed significant decreases in chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoid contents. GA3 or kinetin combined with Dual increased the chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoid contents compared to maize treated with Dual alone.
