Global agrofood chains, retail and catering: the case of the fish sector



FAO Fisheries Report (744): 109-120



This paper characterizes the unique features of the globalization of the fish chain. First, it considers the patterns of world fish production, consumption and trade. This is followed by a review of the features leading to the current crisis of capture fishing. The third section evaluates the emergence of global patterns of fish farming.
