Out of a total of 233 plant growth promoting rhizobacterial (PGPR) isolates obtained from groundnut rhizosphere, 9 isolates identified as Pseudomonas spp. were relatively effective. Three of these isolates, PGPR1, PGPR2 and PGPR4 were the best in PGPR attributes such as production of siderophore and IAA, solubilization of tri-calcium phosphate and inhibition of Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus niger in vitro.
