How much of which nutrients? Nitrogen supply of asparagus in the second year

How much of which nutrients? Nitrogen supply of asparagus in the second year

Gemuse Munchen 41(2): 39-42

The mineral nitrogen content (Nmin) in the soil should be calculated on a field or farm basis if possible. The N supply in the second year has proven to be the key for class-one white asparagus with a girth of 16-26 mm in the following years. If a farm-based calculation is not possible, standardized figures should be used. For German conditions, they are presented in relation to plant spacing and plant canopy fresh weight in the previous autumn.
