Incidence of leaf removal on the redistribution of assimilates in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill)

Incidence of leaf removal on the redistribution of assimilates in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill)

Acta Horticulturae (614(Vol 2)): 567-571

A study was conducted with tomato grown in a hydroponic solution to investigate the contribution made by the leaf, situated between 2 consecutive trusses, to the different organs of the plant and evaluate the pattern of assimilate distribution in plants submitted to pruning of the third leaf among trusses. Tomato Fortaleza with 3 leaves among trusses was used.
