Influence of the wheat grain upon the crushing process

Influence of the wheat grain upon the crushing process

Inzynieria Rolnicza 7(12): 181-188

The influence of wheat grain upon the crushing process in a cylinder wheat grinder was evaluated. It was revealed that together with temperature increase, the average dimension of a ground mass increases. The greatest changes were observed in the fraction of the particle size exceeding 1.6 mm. This fraction consisted mainly of grain hull parts. No significant influence of the grain temperature upon the unit energy consumption of crushing was detected.
