Intense training of Arabian horses and its effect on the level of selected biochemical indices in their blood and heart rate

Medycyna Weterynaryjna 60(4): 403-406

ISSN/ISBN: 0025-8628

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of intense training of horses on their heart rates (HR) and the levels of haemoglobin (Hb), triacylglycerides (TAG), glucose, lactate (LA) and proteins in the blood. 8 Arabian stallions, 3- to 9-years-old, and 10 Arabian mares, 3-years-old, were observed during their training period prior to running on the racetrack.
