Investigation on the genetic variation of seed source stands of silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) in high elevated stands of the southern Black Forest

Investigation on the genetic variation of seed source stands of silver fir (Abies alba Mill.) in high elevated stands of the southern Black Forest

Mitteilungen des Vereins fur Forstliche Standortskunde und Forstpflanzenzuchtung (42): 45-51

The report gives the results of an investigation on the genetic variation of 10 seed source stands of silver fir (Abies alba) in high altitude stands of the southern Black Forest (Germany). The genetic investigations were performed using isoenzyme analysis of 14 polymorphic gene loci. Levels of genetic variation were estimated by the following parameters: genetic multiplicity, heterozygosity, genetic diversity and genetic differentiation.
