Management of root-knot nematode infecting tomato by Trichoderma viride and Paecilomyces lilacinus

Experiments were conducted to study the effects of Trichoderma viridae and Paecilomyces lilacinus on nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) development and plant growth of tomato. In in vitro culture study, T. viridae showed more toxicity (60%) than P. lilacinus (25%). Inhibition of hatching was also greater in T. viridae (65%) than by P. lilacinus (40%). P. lilacinus parasitized more eggs (70%) than T. viridae (5%) in potato dextrose agar culture of M. incognita.
