Note on the in vitro culture of ornamental plants



PHM Revue Horticole (469): 34-38



A brief overview is given of the history of the use of in vitro culture for the propagation of ornamental plants. The increase in the use of this technique since the 1980s is discussed in relation to the production of disease-free plants and management of acclimatization.
